Youth Transition Service
Partners Porirua staff work in secondary schools to build relationships with youth who are moving from school into further education or work.

Partners Porirua is delivering the Youth Transition Service (YTS), to assist young people aged from 15 to 24 get into work or study.
The team of Henry Samia, Phil Roache, Rose Flavall and Jewelz Kilino are the personalities behind the YTS programme working with young people.
Work also goes on behind the scenes to liaise with businesses and employers who believe that Porirua’s young people can add a new dimension to their businesses. Employers can work with young people over the short term or long term to provide mentoring, training or simply offering work experience to job seekers.
Reaching young people and potential employers to raise awareness of the issues surrounding youth unemployment is really important
